I have published over 80 scientific papers in national and international medical journals and had been co-editor of the five publications of National Neonatology Forum of India (NNF) beside contributions to many books by several authors from India and UK.  I was the founder member and first Secretary (elected in absentia) for 7 long years (1980-87) and President of NNF ( 91 & 92 ).  I had also piloted many projects for uplifting the newborn care and had been a resource specialist in neonatology to the Govt. of India and many other national and international organizations.

I headed the Department of Pediatrics and Neonatology ( for 21 yrs ) and Medical Superintendent of Kasturba Hospital, I developed a most state-of-art and advanced neonatal care unit (1967-90) of the country which is still being used for training pediatricians from large number of  institutions including Medical Colleges.

I have authored 10 books in neonatology.  Currently I am the Chairman, Department of Pediatrics and Perinatal-Neonatal Medicine, Sri Balaji Action Medical Institute, Paschim Vihar, Delhi.
